Trekking at Angeles

Trekking to Towering Mount Arayat is possible from Angeles from November until May. Day trips cost Php800 per person for a minimum of three people while and overnight trips cost Php2,500 per person with all equipment and food provided.

Treks to the dormant volcano of Mount Pinatubo are memorable experiences which involve a 4x4 trip to lahar country passing through rough terrain and grey, barren peaks interspersed with verdant green mountains. Spectacular views of clear blue waters await walkers at the summit.

Trips take around nine hours with hiking taking up from three to six hours of that time. Overnight trips are also available. These flights over the volcano depart from Omni Aviation Complex at Clark Field and cost is US$55 per person. Mount Pinatubo erupted in 1991 and spewed an ash plume all over the planet affecting global weather patterns. Viewing the crater, ash canyons and once-devastating lava flows is a surreal experience.
