Sabang isn't the prettiest beach but great for diving
Puerto Galera has a great deal of choice for travelers looking for the perfect place to stay. In all its beach resorts, there is a healthy number of budget bungalows and guest houses, however if you really must have a sea view you will have to pay a little more for a mid range resort.
The highest concentration is in busy Sabang Beach with seemingly wall to wall dive centres and hotels as far as Coco beach and La Laguna beach. Things quieten down a tad at White Beach and Talipanan Beach where you will generally get a little more for your money, especially during busier months.
There are numerous dive resorts offering bungalow and hotel accommodation and if you are here for some scuba action, it is a good option as you can usually find good dive and stay packages. Most are in the three star mid range category with typically comfortable air con bungalows and use of a swimming pool.
In White beach and Sabang, the paths that lead off the main beachfront are dotted with small family run guesthouses and decent sized fan rooms can be often had for under Php800.
There are very few top notch five star resorts or private villas in Puerto Galera but the very best of its mid range places are a more than adequate alternative for discerning travellers. Elsewhere Puerto Galera town has a small selection of cheap places to stay, ideal if taking an early ferry back to the mainland.
